GO! Bags Project
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Another ongoing project where children who are removed from their homes due to neglect, abandonment or abuse, often arrive at the safety parents with only the clothes they are wearing. This leads to a scramble to find some clothes and adds to the trauma for the child and safety parent. We provide a bag specific to age and gender, which contains the basics in clothing, sleepwear, toothbrush and a small toy. Our goal is to have 18 bags packed and ready to go at any given time.
YOU CAN HELP!
Of all the things a child and safety parent need to concern themselves with, what to wear shouldn’t be one of them. We provide a Go! bag that covers the essentials.
AGE AND GENDER APPROPRIATE
Each bag covers a specific age and gender. For the smaller children a transitional comfort toy is included. This is where YOU can help!
